With over 15 years of experience in the graphic design field, I have worked with some of the best publishers in Puerto Rico including El Nuevo Dia, My Pocket Concierge, Yellow Pages, Places to Go, Bienvenidos, and Camara & Comercio to develop renown advertisement campaigns. My educational background includes a Certification in Commercial Photography, a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Digital Graphic Design, and I spent four rewarding years as a professor of Graphic Arts at Atlantic Collage.
As an artist, I have always had a passion for the creative nature of the culinary arts and the technicality of food science. As a chef aficionado, I pride myself on my ability to bring friends and family together over a well prepared meal cooked with wholesome ingredients, heart and soul. And as a well-traveled, international restaurant patron, I have developed a pallet as diverse as the cultures I have visited.
Inspired by the culinary experiences during my travels, I have focused my energy the last two years on exploring the food culture and growing gastronomical revolution here on the great island of Puerto Rico. Time and time again, I found that some of the most innovative and delicious foods were being prepared in unsuspecting places far outside the metropolitan area. I wanted to share these experiences with the public, and encourage locals to explore the gastronomical revolution happening all around the island.
My goal for FoodiesPR.com is to provide a platform for the local Puerto Rican community to read and comment on all things relating to gastronomy from honest restaurant recommendations, to creative chef recipes, to local coverage of food festivals and celebrity chef television competitions. The culinary greatness of Puerto Rico stretches well beyond the urban epicenter and my hope is to shine light on all this island has to offer.
